I/57 Semetín–Bystřička

Project Overview

The I/57 Semetín–Bystřička, Phase 2 project is another stage in the construction of a new high-capacity road between Valašské Meziříčí and Vsetín. It follows the completed first section of the realigned route, which bypasses built-up areas. The project aims to move traffic from the inadequate existing I/57 road onto a four-lane divided road. This will improve safety, traffic flow and capacity on the busiest part of the route through the Vsetínská Bečva valley. The new road is an important transport link for the region: it improves access to the D1 motorway while helping to reduce accidents and the environmental impact of traffic in the area.
