D3 Kaplice nádraží – Nažidla
Project Overview
The D3 motorway section between Kaplice-nádraží and Nažidla is part of a strategic route connecting Prague and České Budějovice with the Austrian border. Opening this section to traffic will reduce congestion on the existing I/3 road. The main route is designed to category D 25.5/130 standards as a four-lane motorway almost 12 kilometres long. It will improve traffic conditions along the Prague–České Budějovice–Dolní Dvořiště–state border route, regarded as the most important road corridor in South Bohemia.
