D11 Jaroměř - Trutnov

Project Overview

The project is designed to category D26.0/130 standards. It is the final section of the D11 motorway to be awarded through a tender, and its completion will establish a motorway connection between the Czech Republic and Poland.

The new high-capacity road will primarily take over traffic from the existing, heavily congested I/37 road, which connects the regional centres of Jaroměř, Dvůr Králové nad Labem and Trutnov.

Between km 114.101 and 114.780, the motorway route crosses the Elbe River valley. At this point, the valley is approximately 800 metres wide and up to 55 metres deep. A railway line runs through it, and a 700-metre bridge is planned to span the valley.
