The “D1 01191.C Brno centrum – Brno” project is the first stage of a series of works to widen the D1 motorway around Brno to six lanes.

Project Overview
The project will widen this section to six lanes. It begins at km 194.509, before the D1-233 viaduct over the railway line, and ends at km 195.955, where it connects to the D1-235 bridge over the Svratka River. Its main purpose is to ease congestion on this heavily used section of the D1 motorway and reduce the traffic conflicts that have frequently occurred there.
